The Tibco campus occupies16 acres of the Stanford Research Park on Hillview Avenue in Palo Alto. The research and development campus consists of four buildings, an underground parking garage, and surface parking.
The campus’s proximity to Matadero Creek required extreme sensitivity to the environmental concerns posed by site grading and erosion control. A separate winter grading and erosion control plan was developed to protect the creek environment from construction activities. Through the use of lined swales, settlement ponds, specialized construction entrances, erosion control planting, and filters at points of discharge the development’s impact on the creek environment was negligible.
