Fort Churchill Solar Array

The Fort Churchill Solar Array is a photovoltaic power station constructed on 137 acres of land in unincorporated Lyon County near Yerington, Nevada. The 19.9-megawatt facility generates renewable power for Apple’s Reno Technology Park data center operation.

Kier + Wright supported the project by providing civil engineering and land surveying for due diligence, preparing preliminary plans for the conditional use permit application required to entitle the development, designing construction-level civil engineering plans, and providing engineering and staking services during construction. Kier + Wright also prepared a hydrology study that demonstrated anticipated flood elevations within the site, which is located within the Walker River watershed.
