Levi’s Stadium

Levi’s Stadium is a 1.85 million-square-foot NFL football stadium located on 22 acres in Santa Clara, California. The stadium seats approximately 70,000 and is the official home of the San Francisco 49’ers.

The stadium was built on land leased from the City of Santa Clara and is owned by, managed by, and was constructed under the authority of a Santa Clara-voter-authorized public entity called the Santa Clara Stadium Authority.

Kier + Wright provided surveying services to support feasibility studies for the site, provided mapping services needed to subdivide City property that was to be included in a ground lease to the Santa Clara Stadium Authority, and prepared exhibits for the stadium lease documents. While preparing the subdivision map, Kier + Wright worked closely with the City Manager and the City Attorney.

Kier + Wright also prepared pre-construction and post-construction ALTA surveys used during the acquisition and finalization of the $1.2 billion-dollar construction loan needed to complete the stadium. The final ALTA included approximately 220 acres of land.

During the project, Kier + Wright completed design-level topographic survey for the stadium site, the parking garage across the street, and the VTA light rail upgrades associated with the construction of the stadium.

During construction, Kier + Wright prepared as-built drawings for anchor bolt template patterns and provided construction staking for foundations, columns, anchor bolts, structural walls, bridges, public street improvements and brackets for the stadium seats.
